About the Workshop

29th Raymond Konopka Memorial Workshop on Accounting and Management Control in UC3M,
Madrid. Puerta de Toledo.
The value of interdisciplinarity and the impact of accounting on society
The workshop constitutes a discussion forum for researchers with an interest in the organizational and social aspects of accounting systems. A large number of researchers have widened the traditional limits of accounting. This is why the workshop values the social implication of accounting as well as the interdisciplinarity of papers. Interdisciplinarity refers to strong relationships between accounting and other organizational fields (e.g. management, strategy, finance, sociology, HRM, CSR or R&D) as well as other fields, such as sociology, history or environmental studies.
Research presented at the workshop has been published in leading academic journals
This workshop has become a leading international forum for discussing high-quality research in management accounting and control. Papers presented at this workshop have been published in journals such as: Accounting, Organizations and Society; European Accounting Review; Organization Studies; Abacus; Accounting and Business Research; Journal of Management Accounting Research; Advances in Accounting; Management Accounting Research; Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, or Critical Perspectives on Accounting.
